DESCRIPTION: Amblyseius swirskii is a predatory mite that feed on Thrips, Whiteflies, Spider Mites, Tarsonemid Mites, and pollen from the plants. Adults have eight legs and the body is a whole unit, not made up of segments. Their color is completely dependent on what the mites have been eating. Release Rates: For light to moderate infestations release 8-12/sq.ft., weekly, 3-4 times. 5,000 – 20,000/acre for the first and second week and then 2,000 a week, for weeks 3, 4 and 5. This Predatory Mite does not go into diapause (dormancy) in response to shorter days . This means that swirskii is also active on shorter days (with less than 12 hours of light). The temperature is an important aspect, if the temperature falls below 60 °F the predatory mite will be virtually inactive. Their optimum temperature is between 77-83 °F.
Mini sachets: Hang from crop wire or under plant canopy - Hang release bags from the branches of the plants.
Container: 1 liter containing 25,000 mites Shake small quantities of Amblyseius andersoni onto the crop near base of plant.
