Beneficial Nematodes - Mix

DESCRIPTION:
Beneficial Nematodes are microscopic worms that seek out and destroy over 200 kinds of soil dwelling insects, including Grubs, Flea larvae, Cutworms, Weevils, Fungus Gnat larvae, Termites, Root Knot Nematodes and many others. We package these insects as three unique species (Steinernema feltiae, Heterohabditis bacteriophora, and Steinernema carpocapsae) as well as a special blend available only in bulk quantities. Each species of Nematodes prefer specific prey although they will attack and parasitize all other forms of soil dwelling insects as well.
  • H. bacteriophora is effective against Stationary Pests: Grubs, root zone weevils, citrus weevils, Japanese beetles, black vine weevils, ticks, queen ants/termites and more.
Great for lawns, fields, pastures and orchards.
  • S. carpocapsae is especially effective against Mobile Pests: Fleas, caterpillars, cutworms, armyworms, sod webworms, fly larvae, worker/soldier ants and worker/soldier termites and more.
  • S. feltiae is especially effective against Mobile Pests: Fungus gnats, ticks, thrips, leaf miners, onion maggots, root maggots, subterranean termites and more. Best Choice for Foliar and Greenhouse Applications.

Nematodes actively hunt for insect larvae, entering through natural body openings. Once inside the larvae, the nematode excretes bacteria from its digestive tract before it starts to feed and multiply. Within a few days the pest will change color and die. The nematodes multiply and develop within the dieing insect, before leaving the old host to hunt for more pests. As the number of pests decrease, so will the nematode population. For this reason seasonal releases are recommended.

This product may be used indoors/outdoors with light to moderate pest infestation. Great for use on farms, ranches, turfs, interiorscapes, hydroponics, etc.
